In the Beginning....Songs of Creation
May 2 @ 3 pm - David H. Nutt Auditorium, Oxford
May 3 @ 5:30 pm - St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Jackson

"Creation" by Dan Forrest
Six movements from Dan Forrest's Concert Suite, "Creation", a magnificent exploration of our planet. 
​"The Gift of Life" by John Rutter
Five movements choral celebration of the living earth, creation and life itself, intermixed with two exquisite John Rutter pieces, "For the Beauty of the Earth" and "All Thing Bright and Beautiful".
These concerts are in collaboration with Jackson Choral Society with two opportunities to attend these free concerts with chamber orchestra.  
These concerts are made possible through Grants from Mississippi Arts Commission, National Endowment for the Arts, Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow and Yoknapatawpha Arts Council

We are passionate

The Jackson Choral Society was founded on June 27, 1961 by longtime friends and former Milsaps Singers Leonard Metts, Dr. Cecil and Patsy Jenkins, Jane Ellen and Richard Naef.
